Game Revolution’s Ultra Street Fighter IV Review is Top-Notch
Street Fighter is one of those iconic names in video game history. Although the fighting genre isn’t quite as huge as it once was, die-hard fans still flock to the legendary SF.
The latest to release is Ultra Street Fighter IV; the word “ultra” in the title probably gives it away. Yes, it’s an updated version of one of the best-received fighters of the previous generation. And while many core aficionados can’t wait to see their favorite series on the next-gen consoles, this’ll do for now.
If you’re still on the fence, though, you should check out Game Revolution’s excellent review, written by Nick Tan. In this case, the critic balances the expectations that come with an upgraded version with the fact that Capcom does this often…issue new Street Fighters, we mean. He also appears to be a fan of the genre, which is important.
Why We Like It:
— The review is written by a knowledgeable, experienced fan. While critics are supposed to be able to review anything, it always helps to have that extra level of expertise due to a passion for that particular genre. This guy knows what he’s talking about.
— Isn’t afraid to dive into the nuts and bolts of the fighting mechanic. You can always tell when the person reviewing a fighter doesn’t know a heck of a lot about the genre. In this case, the critic doesn’t shy away from critical gameplay details that core fighter followers will appreciate.
— The critic addresses the potential value of the product. When it comes to upgrades, this is always a big question gamers have, and the reviewer does his best to answer that question.
