Guacamelee! Just Got Better, So Says Gaming Age’s Great Review
Guacamelee! was widely considered one of 2013’s most accomplished and entertaining digital-only titles. Now, an updated version, dubbed the Super Turbo Championship Edition, is available on the PlayStation 4, and it includes a new “INTENSO” combat mode, previously released downloadable content, and a few technical upgrades.
For those who haven’t yet played it, this improved iteration is a no-brainer. If you don’t believe us, check out Gaming Age’s top-tier evaluation of the recently released title. Critic Dustin Chadwell utilizes his previous experience with the game, and compares that to the upgraded installment, which is precisely what is needed in such a review.
It’s well worth a read, especially if you love the colorful, fantastical atmosphere you glimpse in the screenshots.
Why We Like It:
— First and foremost, when a new and improved version of a game arrives, gamers are most interested in what’s actually better. This critic takes the time to highlight each specific upgrade, which is great.
— When analyzing a new release of an existing game, it’s essential that the critic in question be intimately familiar with the original production. This reviewer obviously is, and he uses that acquired expertise well.
— We’re a fan of different scoring systems, and Gaming Age uses the grading system, which is somewhat unique. We always give kudos for trying to stand out!
