RPG Site Loves DanganRonpa 2, And We Love the Review
If you’re looking for an original gameplay premise and a sequel that improves on the initial title in just about every possible way, check out the recently released DanganRonpa 2: Goodbye Despair. Blending a unique form of action with courtroom drama (of all things), this surprisingly immersive and inspired production is well worth your time.
If you don’t believe us, check out an excellent review of the game at RPG Site. Critic David Kreinberg pens a tight, informed analysis that covers all the bases. He correctly compares the sequel to the former entry but at the same time, he evaluates the new title on its own merits. This results in a nicely balanced review that is both accessible and effective.
Lest we forget, the purpose of any product review is to inform and tentatively recommend or discourage based on industry expertise. That’s precisely what Kreinberg does, and the reader benefits from a job well done.
Why We Like It:
— An appropriate ongoing contrast between the original and the sequel. This is what readers want to know, above all else: How does it compare to the first game? How is it better? How is it fresh?
— The critic doesn’t forget the other elements of a game, as attention is paid to the technical and artistic presentation.
— A well-paced and well thought-out analysis that answers just about every question a reader may have. That isn’t easy to do and it’s great to see in any product review.
We will cordially overlook the typo in the last sentence. 😉
