Filled with action, depth and a startling sense of immersion, the latest Fallout is a gem.

Most critics will tell you it’s a legitimate Game of the Year contender. Bethesda’s latest is earning plenty of acclaim, far and wide, and there’s no shortage of excellent reviews. However, we expect fantastic analysis and even eloquent opinion from some of the larger sources, and we like to spread the wealth with our Honored Reviews. We tend to seek out reviews that we especially enjoy, and that review has to read well and be professionally constructed. We also like to look at all sources and critics.

Every once in a while, we come across a top-tier review that wasn’t written by a staff member at GameSpot, IGN, Kotaku, or what have you. In fact, one of our favoriteĀ Fallout 4 reviews comes courtesy of Twinfinite and critic Sharon Coone, who penned an excellent review that is informative and entertaining. It’s not bogged down with a lot of unnecessary detail (a good reviewer remembers that a game like this is all about exploration, and the critic shouldn’t give away the farm with his or her evaluation), and it nicely captures the atmosphere and spirit of the adventure.

It’s also paced relatively well and addresses just about very major aspect of the production. It’s unlikely that gamers will be have many questions when they’re done reading and even better, they will have actually enjoyed the read.

Congrats, Sharon!

Why We Like It:

— We tend to gravitate toward reviews with fine introductions, and this one has a nicely appointed and intriguing intro that makes us want to read more.

— Without going overboard on the detail and information, we still get an overarching, in-depth analysis that tells us everything we need to know.

Correctly focuses on the game’s atmosphere and immersion, which is the primary allure for just about any consumer who would be interested in this game.

I’m actually too hooked on Assassin’s Creed Syndicate right now to dive into Fallout 4 but it’s definitely on my list. Well, my Christmas list, to be precise. šŸ˜‰

Playing it to death. Can’t stop.

This game deserves GotY, plain and simple.

It’s one of the most immersive games out there, that’s for sure. I doubt I’ll ever finish it (got way too much to do these days) but Fallout 4 deserves every ounce of credit it gets IMO.
