PS Nation’s Quality Analysis Of Demon Gaze

An entertaining action/RPG for the Vita is well worth trying.

PlayStation Vita owners are looking for some games to play, right? Well, you might want to check out the recently released Demon Gaze, which should satisfy your JRPG itch…if you have one.

There are plenty of reviews for the game floating around, but we have to recommend the one written by PS Nation’s Andy Richardson. With a clean writing style and plenty of great description, his analysis of the new handheld title is a solid accomplishment.

Don’t think that reviewing niche titles like this is easy. It requires an acknowledgement of the niche crowd to which the game appeals, along with a professional approach. Richardson does a fine job in our estimation.

Going out with the Vita? Take Demon Gaze along for the ride!

Why We Like It:

— He puts the meat of the experience – the gameplay and the story – at the forefront, and deals with the technical elements last. This format works especially well for a game like Demon Gaze, as the targeted audiences cares far more about the gameplay than the admitted lack of slick visuals.

— Balance. The critic does a good job explaining what works and what doesn’t. Of course, all critics have to do this, but you have to balance the text so it flows evenly. You don’t want to jam all the good into one section and all the bad into another.

— Nice description blended with a reliable analysis. Two things are clear in reading the review: 1. The critic spent a fair amount of time with the game, and 2. He understands what the majority of his readers will want to know.
